1930 was not the first year that the National Tuberculosis Association called upon dignitaries to create sought after collectibles, but it may have been the largest list of celebrities ever used in a single year. *thirteen of the twenty-one different listed here, are from the collection of John Denune, Sr. The Babe Ruth was discovered 10-28-2022 stuck in the middle of some imperforate 1930 sheets. The seal collector cared more for the printer's mark block, which has been removed. 

A newly reported (12-2025) dignitary, to autograph 1930 Christmas Seal sheets is Knute Rockne. He is not included on the old NTA letter, but the fact that some names were penciled in shows that many celebrities were eager to join the fight against TB. Reported, and image shared by Andrew W. Nickle, a collector of all interesting things related to Rockne.
